So, you want to improve your body, but you don’t seem to be losing any weight? No matter what, the pounds just aren’t slipping away. Maybe, just maybe, it’s down to one of these three things:
You might have noticed that I’ve put the word diets in inverted commas here. No, that isn’t a typo, it’s to make a point. When I say ‘diets’ I refer to these crazy things that people claim will help them lose weight. A lot of the time, these diets are complete and utter rubbish. Stuff like the Atkins diet, etc. They’re made up things designed to hook people in and get them to follow a plan and pay lots of money. But, the results are never conclusive. The main problem is, people assume they only need to follow these diets. The people that create them won’t say you have to do anything else. So, you follow the diet and do nothing else. No exercise, nothing. And then you wonder why you aren’t losing weight. I’ll tell you why, it’s because you’re following a phony diet and not working out, so you aren’t burning calories. If you’re on one of these so called ‘diets’ don’t be surprised if you’re not dropping a few dress sizes any time soon.
For many, alcohol is seen as a little treat. You have a few glasses of wine with the girls a couple of nights a week and think nothing of it. You’re sat there throwing back your fourth glass saying something about a glass of wine a day being good for you. Well, yes, some people say that a glass of red wine is good for you. But not multiple glasses, every day. If you’re drinking too much, you’re at serious risk of two things. First, you could be an alcoholic, in which case, head to a women’s recovery centre to get help. Second, you’re at risk of gaining weight. Yes, too much alcohol can lead to weight gain. So, if you’re struggling to shed those pounds, your daily nights out with the girls could be the issue.
Finally, stress could be the reason that you’re not losing any weight. I know it may sound farfetched, but it’s true. When you’re stressed, you tend to focus on all the things that are making you stressed. In turn, you don’t find the time to exercise because you’re so busy. You get home from work and sink into the sofa with a glass of wine. And, you’re too stressed out to think about eating healthy. In fact, you’re likely to start stress eating and gorging yourself on sweets and chocolates. All of this will add up and lead to mass amounts of weight gain. Take a look at your life if you’re not losing weight. You could find out that all of the stress is the reason for your struggles. Get rid of your stress, and you should be okay!
Many people find that one of these three reasons is why they’re not shedding some stubborn belly fat. If you feel like one of them applies to you, work on solving the problem and you’ll be back on the right path.
